  Our Pledge:

bullet

         To assure the preservation, strengthening and propagation of the Christian Orthodox faith as prescribed and given by the Orthodox teachings, prayers, practices, canons, and tradition.

         To promote a more active and more effective influence of the Orthodox Christian Church and its teachings in the parishes and among their communicants; and in society in general.

bullet

         Through the united efforts and mutual support of its members, to accumulate assets, both real and personal, to create funds, to receive contributions, legacies, and estates of any nature, with the purpose to use them to provide for the continuation and effectiveness of the Religious Services and Religious Education of its members.

 To become/be a voting member of a Parish, a Baptized and/or Chrismated Orthodox Christian man or woman must: be at least eighteen years of age; partake of the Sacraments of Confession and Communion at least once a year; have accepted and adhere to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America; fulfill such financial obligations as the Episcopate Congress and Parish establish.

This Corporation submits itself to the administrative and canonical jurisdiction of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, having its headquarters located in the Township of Grass Lake, Jackson County, State of Michigan.

No property, movable or immovable, monies funds or any other real estate or property under whatsoever designation, belonging to it, may be alienated, sold, donated, or disposed of in any manner whatsoever, by any person or persons, body of committee, organization of the above-mentioned Corporation or by the Corporation itself, without the written approval of the Bishop of the above-named Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.  The Corporation further accepts to govern itself according to the Constitution and By-Laws of the said Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and to conduct and manage its affairs in accordance with the said By-Laws.

 The duration of the said Corporation is to be perpetual.

When the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America is aware that a Parish cannot fulfill its purposes and maintain the active, full life associated with that of a Parish, the Parish may be dissolved at a special meeting of the parishioners called for that purpose by the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, and presided over by a Delegate of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America.
